MHFA Refresher

The course cost is £150pp + VAT

The Mental Health First Aid Refresher is recommended every three years and is a four hour course that has been developed for those who have completed the Mental Health First Aider course and require a refresh of their skills. This course is delivered as a public course online or as a face-to-face or online course for in-house clients. Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group activities, discussions, videos and skills practice.

We offer both public and in-house options for this course, with a 10% discount on recommended value for in-house training.

Learning outcomes

Mental Health First Aiders will be able to:

Listen, reassure, and respond effectively, even in crises.
Recognise poor mental health warning signs and confidently offer support while ensuring personal safety.
Guide individuals to access appropriate resources, such as therapy, self-help, or support groups.
Promote wellbeing and challenge mental health stigma.

Ongoing Support

Upon completing the course, learners receive a three-year certification and can join the Association of Mental Health First Aiders. Membership is free and provides access to resources, ongoing learning, and 24/7 digital support via the MHFAider Support App^®, equipping them to confidently perform their role in workplaces, volunteer positions, or communities.
